The Road to Kalymnos By plane to Kos and then by ferry to Kalymnos. Unfortunately no flights directly to Kalymnos as the small airport is still under construction. When you arrive at Kos airport take a taxi to Mastichari. From there the ferry takes you to Kalymnos. There are ferries three times a day from Mastichari to Pothia, Kalymnos. 09:00, 17:30 and 22:00. Tickets are available from the ferry office. Tickets for the return journey are available from the jetty in Pothia, the capital of Kalymnos. These ferries depart 07:00, 16:00 and 20:00. You can take one of the ferries from Kostown, Dane Sea lines and there are also the fastboats of Samos Hydrofoils, they travel to the islands of Leros, Lepsi, Patmos, Furnoi, Ikaria, Samos as well as Kalymnos.
