Truly a chill out zone. Telendos is just an eight minute trip by bus-boat from Kalymnos. There are no cars on the island and the quietness is immediately noticable. On Telendos you will find everything you need to shake off the stresses of the 'real world'. A shoreline fringed by shady tamarisk trees, where the only sound is the gentle lapping of waves. Secluded beaches for swimming or just relaxing and enjoying the breathtaking views. There is even a beach for sunbathing 'au naturel'. For the adventurous, rugged walks are enhanced by wafting scents from wild oregano and thyme. Ruins and recent excavations bring tantalising glimpses of a long history - especially when viewed to the timeless accompaniment of goat bells. The scene is completed by a silver and turquoise church, picturesque houses with flower-filled gardens, harbour-side tavernas and homely pensions in the traditional style of the region. Our accommodation is a mix of rooms and apartments adjacent to the two Tavernas on the main jetty. Rita Rooms are clean and simple with beautiful views, some sea, some mountain.
